    astrology small wheel

Astrology is a 4000 year old cosmological practice found in Egypt, Greece, Italy, China, Tibet, India, Europe, Mexico, the United States and many other countries throughout the world. Exponents of astrology include Galileo, Carl Jung, Newton, Dante, Copernicus, Descartes, Hippocrates, and Nostradamus, to name a few. Dr. Laishley combines the symbolic language of astrology with psychological principles, creating a tool of tremendous benefit to anyone interested in gaining insight into their life cycles, soul evolution, and the personality of themselves and others. Truly holistic, with equal emphasis on mind, body, sprit and emotions, astrology provides a mirror of the self, and is a tool of knowledge, not fortune telling.

As Above/ So Below: The Heart and Soul of Astrology

Astrology is based on the idea that we humans are intimately connected with the universe we inhabit. This understanding comes from the ancients Greeks 2500 years ago. They saw the universe as an orderly cosmos, a harmonious whole made as a reflection of God’s perfection.  Since we are a mirror of God’s design, what happens above in the heavens, also happens below, in our lives; As Above/So Below. We will examine the philosophical and religious roots of astrology. We will look especially at Plato (b. 428 BCE), one of the greatest philosophers of all time, and his book The Timaeus, where he explains the interrelationship between the cosmos and humanity. You will learn your relationship to the Four Elements of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. The Four Elements are a key to astrology and relate to the wholistic awareness of Mind, Body, Spirit, and Emotion.
