Check out the links to the Healing Arts of Labyrinths, Past Life Therapy, Dreamwork, and Guided Imagery. I use these, and the other Healing Arts below, in my work with myself and my work with clients. I work in my Chattanooga, TN office, by phone, Skype, and offer Intensives for people who come from out of town.
Intuition: Below the busy signals of the intellectual mind lie the more subtle messages of the unconscious mind. We develop intuition by tuning in and listening to feelings, sensations, and the inner voice. By learning to connect to our unconscious information we create the ability to understand our hidden motivations and to respond to our inner soulful self.
Visualization: Our ability to daydream and use the imagination comes from pictures we have in our mind’s eye. These interior visual images tell the stories of our inner life. Likewise we can use the same language of symbolic pictures to speak to our Soul, making connections between the conscious and unconscious mind.
Active Imagination: A process used by Carl Jung, this is an open-ended exploration using visualization and metaphor to awaken and explore the unconscious mind.
Journaling: Keeping a record of our journey of self- discovery and illumination is a valuable way to deepen insight and understanding. Through it we can watch our thoughts, feelings, growth, and evolution, as well as see patterns, repeated symbols, and dream themes. Journaling also stimulates of expression of emotions and provides stories of healing.
Shamanic Journeying: Through a technique used by shamans for thousands of years, we travel the interior world of our unconscious mind. Using the sound of the drum and the rattle, we find our power animals and let them guide us from questions into answers, through conflicts into resolution.
Meditation: Learn to still the mind to let spiritual awareness become more present and tangible in our life. Prayer is talking to God. Meditation is listening. Using different meditation techniques we can discover ones that meet our particular needs. Meditation also brings increased relaxation and heightened awareness.
